1. General
This operating manual contains all the instructions for the installation and start-up of the
metering station Lub-O-Mat for conveyor track lubrication.
The safety instructions and points marked as requiring special care must be observed
at all times!
NOTE
The German chapters of this manual constitute the ORIGINAL OPERATING MANUAL
and take legal precedence.
All other languages are translations of the ORIGINAL OPERATING MANUAL.
1.1 Scope of guarantee
The manufacturer is able to accept guarantee liability with respect to operational safety and
reliability, dependability and performance of the Lub-O-Mat only under the following
conditions:
CAUTION
The installation, commissioning, operation and maintenance work must be performed by
authorised skilled personnel (requirement within the Federal Republic of Germany: with
expert knowledge pursuant to the accident prevent regulations on the "chlorination of
water").
The unit must be used exclusively in compliance with the contents of all the instruction
manuals, as described in chapter 1.2.
Only genuine spare parts must be used for repairs.
NOTE
Warranties can only be provided for the functioning of the Lub-O-Mat if genuine ECOLAB
products are used.
In addition, the general warranty and service conditions of the company
ECOLAB Engineering GmbH are applicable.
1.2 Operating instructions
ATTENTION
The owner and the operating personnel must have read and understood the instruction
manual for the Lub-O-Mat (Art. No. 4171333).
In addition to this manual, the metering station for the conveyor track lubrication system
will also come with further instruction manuals for the installed components.
All the instruction manuals supplied are essential for ensuring the smooth operation of
the Lub-O-Mat and form the basis for all servicing work!

NOTE
Should you require any of the instruction manuals mentioned above, they are available to
download free of charge from the “DOWNLOAD” area of http://www.ecolab-engineering.de.
If you do not have Internet access or cannot find the manual you require online, please
contact the manufacturer (see chapter 1.5).
1.3 Transportation damage
If damage is discovered to any of the components of the Lub-O-Mat when it is unpacked, the
unit must not be installed.
