4.2 Metering system
The belt lubricant is metered at a rate which is proportional to the water flow rate. This
ensures a precise, uniform concentration and a homogenous conveyor track lubrication
solution even when there are fluctuations in the amount of solution used.
4.3 Water pressure adjustment
In order to maintain a constant water pressure, an adjustable pressure reducer has to be
mounted into the line upstream from the metering unit.
The pressure setting required will depend mainly on the length of the connected distribution
lines (ie taking account of the pressure loss).
For a satisfactory spraying pattern at the spray jets, a minimum pressure of 1.5 bars at the
jets is required.
