2. Safety
2.1 Notes on Safety
Connection, servicing and repair work may only be carried out by trained personnel after the
unit has been switched off (disconnect the mains plug) and depressurised.
ATTENTION
The metering station for “Lub-O-Mat” conveyor belt lubricant must be connected to 230 V
alternating voltage (50 Hz standard version, 60 Hz special version) and earthed.
2.2 Emphases
The emphases have the following meanings:
CAUTION
is used if imprecise adherence or non-adherence to operating instructions, working
procedures, specified sequences of work, etc., could in result in injuries and/or accidents
ATTENTION
is used if imprecise adherence or non-adherence to operating instructions, working
procedures, specified sequences of work, etc., could in result in damage to the equipment
IMPORTANT
is used if particular attention during use/handling of the unit needs to be ensured
NOTE
is used to draw attention to a special remark or feature
2.3 Numberings
Numberings marked with this sign () describe an activity which must only be performed
by the installer / user.
2.4 Special safety notes for maintenance and repair work
CAUTION
The power supply must be interrupted before all maintenance and repair work (disconnect
the mains plug!)
Prior to repair and maintenance work and metering of dangerous media, always rinse the
metering head, relieve the pressure pipe and wear protective clothing (protective goggles,
gloves and apron).
When conducting maintenance and repair work on parts that comes into contact with
conveyor belt lubricants, as well as when changing the storage drum, the safety guidelines
on handling chemicals (see the safety data sheet for the applicable chemicals) must be
followed.
Electronics repairs must only be performed by trained electricians!
Live parts may be uncovered when opening covers or removing parts (with the exception
of covers that can be opened or parts that can be removed without using tools).
IMPORTANT
Only original spare parts must be used for repairs.
