Personal protective equipment
DANGER!
Personal protective equipment, hereinafter referred to as PPE, is used to
protect personnel. The personnel who set up and install the pump must use
suitable PPE to protect against injury
.
5.1 Determination of the meter’s pulse value
The meter
’s pulse value (meter constant) must be determined prior to commissioning, in
order to ensure correct measurement of flow rates.
The pump’s delivery rate during operation must be measured for this purpose.
1. Fill suitable measuring glass with the fluid to be metered.
2. Insert the suction line into the measuring glass.
3. Start the metering pump.
4. Perform venting of the metering system
(continue metering until the metering line and OGM
PLUS
have been vented).
5. Stop the metering pump.
6. Fill the measuring vessel up to the maximum quantity
.
The quantity in the measuring glass should be not less than 1/6 of the
metering rate (l/h) set on the metering pump.
The meter is suitable only for pure and clean liquids!
If the OGM
PLUS
is connected to an E60 or EcoAdd metering pump
(with electronic version), determination of pulse value is described in
the Operating Manual for the corresponding metering pump in the
"Calibration" section.
7.
Start the metering pump and record the metering pulses of the OGM
PLUS
.
8. Determine the quantity removed from the measuring vessel.
9. Refer the number of pulses counted to the quantity metered.
ð
The result is the precise number of pulses per liter
.
