  A chlorine taste or odor in your EcoWater RO system's product water is often due to either excessive chlorine in your water supply, which can damage the RO membrane, or the prefilter no longer effectively reducing chlorine. If your water supply contains more than 2.0 ppm of chlorine, you'll need additional pre-filtering. Replace the prefilter, post filter, and RO membrane cartridges.

What to do if my EcoWater Water Filtration System makes water too slowly?

  If your EcoWater RO system is producing water slower than usual, it could be due to a few reasons. First, ensure the water supply to the system meets the required specifications by increasing water pressure or preconditioning the water as needed. Another cause may be that the prefilter or RO membrane cartridges are clogged with sediments. Replace the prefilter cartridge; if the rate doesn't improve, replace the postfilter and RO membrane cartridges. Lastly, check and clean the Flow Control Insert, as it may be plugged.

  If your EcoWater system's water has an unusual taste or odor, it could be due to several factors. The post filter might be expended, so try replacing it. If the issue continues, replace the prefilter cartridge and RO membrane cartridge. Another possible cause is contamination in the product water storage; in that case, use sanitizing procedures and replace the post filter cartridge.

  A flashing red LED on your EcoWater system, indicating high total dissolved solids (TDS), can be caused by a water supply that doesn't meet the system's specifications. Increase water pressure or precondition the water to meet requirements. It could also mean the RO membrane cartridge is expended. In this case, replace the prefilter, postfilter, and RO membrane cartridges, flow control, and screen.

  Water leaking from the air gap hole of your EcoWater faucet usually means the drain side of the faucet air gap (3/8" tubing) is plugged, restricted, or incorrectly connected to the drain point. Inspect the tubing and eliminate any restrictions or plugs. Refer to the installation instructions for proper drain connection.
