This document is the owner's manual for Koldfront thermoelectric wine coolers, specifically models TWR187ESS, TWR247ESS, and TWR327ESS. These units are designed for domestic indoor use to store wine and beverages.
Function Description:
The Koldfront thermoelectric wine cooler is an appliance designed to maintain specific temperature ranges for wine storage. It utilizes thermoelectric cooling technology, which is generally quieter and more environmentally friendly than compressor-based systems, though it may be more sensitive to ambient temperatures. The cooler features a dual-zone temperature control, allowing for different temperature settings in the upper and lower compartments to accommodate various types of wine. The temperature range for the top zone is 54°F to 66°F, and for the lower zone, it is 46°F to 66°F. The unit is designed for free-standing installation, requiring adequate ventilation around its top, back, and sides.

- First-Time Use: It is recommended to let the unit stand upright for at least 24 hours before use to allow cooling components to settle.
Maintenance Features:
- Air Filter Cleaning: The wine cooler is equipped with two exhaust fans protected by air filters. These filters should be cleaned periodically (weekly in dusty environments) by removing them, vacuuming or tapping off dust, and rinsing with lukewarm water. They must be thoroughly air-dried before reinstallation.
- Exterior Cleaning: The door and cabinet can be cleaned with a mild detergent and lukewarm water solution (e.g., 2 tablespoons of baking soda to 1 quart of water). A soft sponge and clean towel should be used, avoiding solvent-based or abrasive cleaners. Stainless steel surfaces should be cleaned with a cloth dampened with mild detergent and warm water solution to prevent discoloration from chlorine gas and moisture.
- Interior Cleaning: The interior should be cleaned occasionally by disconnecting power, removing contents and shelves, allowing the unit to defrost, wiping with a clean cloth, and then reinserting shelves and reconnecting power.
- Defrosting: This model does not have an automatic defrost feature. Frost may build up, especially in colder or humid environments. If frost prevents the door from closing, the unit should be powered off to allow the frost to melt, and then dried with a soft absorbent towel. The built-in water pan collects condensate and is not removable. Users are warned not to use sharp objects for frost removal.
- Storage Preparation: For long-term storage or moving, the unit should be defrosted and dried. This involves disconnecting power, removing the plug, and leaving the doors open to allow air circulation and prevent odors. If children are present, additional precautions like removing the doors are advised to prevent entrapment.
