SAFETY PRECAUTIONS

Never use the brush cutter when you are tired or fatigued...

Do not operate the brush cutter when fatigued, under the influence of alcohol, drugs, or medication.

Wear appropriate clothing and safety articles...

Use protective clothing and safety gear like boots, trousers, gloves, eyewear, and helmet.

Do not allow other people to remain within 15 metres...

Maintain a minimum safety distance of 15 metres from other people during operation.

Never use the brush cutter without the blade guard or the head.

Always ensure the brush cutter is operated with the protective blade guard or head attached.

Every now and then while working, stop the engine and check the blade...

Regularly check the blade for damage and replace it if cracks or breaks are found.

Only work when you are in a stable and secure position (Fig. 5).

Ensure a stable and secure body position while operating the brush cutter.

Never touch the blade or attempt any maintenance work while the engine is running.

Avoid any contact with the blade or performing maintenance while the engine is running.

Fill the fuel tank with the engine off and away from heat sources (Fig. 6).

Protect your eyes by wearing safety goggles or a face shield.

Use protections against noises; for example noise reduction ear guards (Fig.6) or earplugs.

Use hearing protection such as ear guards or earplugs to reduce noise exposure.
