I) The warning light 2 flashes quickly,
the warning lights 1, 3, 4, and 7 are lighted up permanently
and a continuous acoustic alarm is emitted Biiiiiiiip
CAUSE
The DMU receives an anomalous angle value relating to second boom position.
! FAILURE ANALYSIS
If the computer is connected to crane (tools sensor diagnostics DMU hardware) the error
state is displayed:
- “1” appears next to: “ second boom angular sensor damaged “
A clearly anomalous angle value appears
CHECK
Check that the error state disappears on computer when carrying out the electric by-pass on transdu-
cer connecting cable, as outlined in Chapter 17. According to the type of angle sensor which can be
“analog” or “on-o” if the computer screen displays as follows:
- with analog sensor about –93°
- with “on-o” sensor: “1” appears next to: “second boom above critical angle”
the angle sensor is damaged.
SOLUTION
Replace angular sensor.
