! FAILURE ANALYSIS
If the computer is connected to crane (tools sensor diagnostics DMU hardware) the error
state is displayed:
- “1” appears next to: second boom angular sensor damaged “
the electric cable connecting the angular sensor to DMU is short circuited: an angular value relating to
sensor of 173 degrees appears.
CHECK
Check the error state disappears on computer when carrying out the electric by-pass on transducer con-
necting cable, as outlined in Chapter 17. According to the type of angle sensor which can be analog” or
on-o the computer screen displays as follows:
- with analog sensor: about –93°
- with on-o sensor: “1” appears next to:second boom above critical angle”
If the error state continues, the angular sensor electric connection is damaged.
SOLUTION
Restore electric connection between DMU and angular sensor.
! FAILURE ANALYSIS

A sensor angular value of zero appears next to alpha 2”.
CHECK
Check that the error state disappears on computer when carrying out the electric by-pass on transdu-
cer connecting cable, as outlined in Chapter 17. According to the type of angle sensor which can be
analog” or on-o the computer screen displays as follows:
- with analog sensor: about –93°
- with on-o sensor: “1” appears next to:second boom above critical angle”
If the error state continues, the angular sensor connection is damaged.
SOLUTION
Restore electric connection between DMU and angular sensor.
