HORIZONTAL TERMINATIONS
Horizontal Termination Graph
HORIZONTAL
The Horizontal Termination Graph shows the maximum horizontal vent run (to the outside wall) for the corresponding vertical
vent rise. The allowable venting conguration MUST be within the shaded area. A power vent system is available for some
congurations which do not meet these requirements.
• When using a wall-mounted termination, a maximum of (3) elbows (45° or 90°) may be used.
• For a second or third elbow:
- 20”/500 mm must be subtracted from the horizontal length allowance when using a 45° elbow
- 40”/1000 mm must be subtracted from the horizontal length allowance when using a 90° elbow
Example A: With a total rise of 6’6”/2.0 m and one horizontal 90° elbow, a total run of 13’2”/4.0 m is allowed.
Example B: With a total rise of 6’6”/2.0 m and two horizontal 90° elbows, a total run of 9’10”/3.0 m is allowed.
Example C: With a total rise of 6’6”/2.0 m and three horizontal 90° elbows, a total run of 6’6”/2.0 m is allowed.
