Stitch Definition and Setup
A 3-thread overlock stitch that adds a second
needle thread. The stitch stretches without
breaking. The second needle thread reinforces
the durability and strength of the stitch, but the
stitch retains its elasticity.
Yellow tension (upper looper): 4
Green tension (lower looper): 4
Red tension (right needle): 4
Blue tension (left needle): 4
Differential Feed: 1
Stitch Length: N
Upper Cutting Blade: Engaged
Stitch Width Finger: N
Cutting Width Dial: 5.5
The same characteristics as the Safety 4 Thread.
The Stretch Knit program uses the differential
feed and stitch length settings to prevent knitwear
from stretching while sewing.
Common Uses
Apply ribbing to knit necklines,
cuffs or waistbands.
Construction method for sweater knits.
