7.2 Operating Instructions
7.2.1 Generality Procedures are very similar to the single module, see Chapter 2
Operating Instructions.
Differences are shown below.
Battery Management
In case of common battery system, when two modules are both
operating, if procedures of Battery Test or Boost Charge are begun by
one module, the other is forced to do the same thing.
WARNING (with Auxiliary Battery Switch Box)
Care must be taken not to operate switches when battery
voltage is present, as, there is no protection against closing
battery on a shut- down rectifier when the battery circuit
breaker is closed. Such operation will cause trip of battery
circuit breaker and of battery fuses on one or both modules.
Referring to 2.2
1. In case of presence of Auxiliary Battery Switch Box, both switches
in it must be closed; of course battery circuit breaker is still open.
2. Bypass switch Q2 must be closed, follow the same for both
modules.
3. Rectifier switch Q1 must be closed, follow the same for both
modules.
4. Output switch Q4 must be closed for both modules.
5. Follow the same for common battery system; for separate batteries
system operate in the same manner, one battery at the time.
6. Same as 5.
Referring to 2.3.
Follow the same for both modules, the system will transfer to bypass
when also the second inverter is off.
