What to do if my Emerson Liebert Deluxe System/3 DE Air Conditioner compressor will not start?
    • B
      Brittney WestAug 13, 2025
If the Emerson Air Conditioner compressor won't start, verify the main switch, fuses, circuit breakers, and wiring. If there's a current overload, reset it manually. Also, ensure all electrical connections are tight. If the compressor motor is burned out, it should be checked and replaced if found defective.

What to do if Emerson Air Conditioner compressor will not operate, contactor not pulling in?
    • E
      Elizabeth PhillipsAug 16, 2025
If your Emerson Air Conditioner compressor won't operate and the contactor isn't pulling in, start by checking the monitor status to ensure there's a call for cooling. Next, hold a screwdriver over the solenoid to check for a magnetic field, indicating it's energized. Finally, check the gas pressure to ensure the low-pressure switch is making contact; you might need to manually energize the low-pressure switch.

How to troubleshoot Emerson Air Conditioner blower that will not start?
    • J
      Jennifer CraigAug 20, 2025
If the Emerson Air Conditioner blower doesn't start, first check L1, L2, and L3 for the rated voltage to ensure there's main power. Then, inspect the fuses or circuit breakers related to the main fan. If overloads have tripped, push the reset button on the main fan overload and check the amp draw. Check for 24 VAC between P24-2 and P24-1 to see if there's output voltage from the transformer; if not, check the primary voltage. Also, check for 24 VAC between P4-4 and E1 for the control fuse; if there's no voltage, check for a short and replace the fuse or reset the circuit breaker. For SM models only, jumper P9-1 to P9-2 to test the start switch. If the unit starts and stops after removing the jumper, replace S1.

Why Emerson Air Conditioner blower runs but controls will not operate?
    • C
      Christine SalazarAug 25, 2025
If the blower runs but the controls of your Emerson Air Conditioner do not operate, then check for 24 VAC between P36-9 and P36-10. If voltage is not present, R1 is not receiving power. Check air switch by jumpering P36-4 to P36-7. If R1 closes, the air switch is not closing (check for blower rotation, loose wiring, and pinched tubing.) Remove jumper. Check for 24 VAC at R1 coil. If the voltage is present and R1 is not pulling, replace R1.

Why is my Emerson Air Conditioner compressor noisy?
    • B
      Brian DiazAug 28, 2025
If the Emerson Air Conditioner compressor is noisy, the issue might be slugging due to refrigerant floodback (see symptom: flooding). It could also be due to wiped bearings from oil loss (see Oil Pressure and check for a defective oil failure control). Loose compressor or piping supports can also cause noise, so tighten the clamps. If there are broken connecting rods, valves, or other running gear, replace the compressor.

Why is there excessive leakage around the Emerson Liebert Deluxe System/3 DE pump shaft?
    • R
      Rick RamirezSep 4, 2025
If you observe excessive leakage around the pump shaft of your Emerson Air Conditioner while it's operating, it's likely due to a worn seal or packing, which will need to be replaced.

What causes the Emerson Liebert Deluxe System/3 DE humidifier contactor not to be pulled in?
    • T
      Thomas AdamsSep 8, 2025
If the Emerson Air Conditioner humidifier contactor is not pulled in, it could be due to a full cylinder or an activated interface. Refer to similar symptoms for solutions. The canister may also be expired, requiring replacement. Alternatively, there might be a problem with the fill water system, such as the water supply not being on, a fill valve issue, or a drain valve stuck open.

What to do if red LED is on on Emerson Liebert Deluxe System/3 DE Air Conditioner humidifier control board?
    • M
      michaelchangDec 1, 2025
If the red LED on the Emerson Air Conditioner humidifier control board is on and the humidifier contactor isn't pulled in, it could be due to several reasons: The humidifier amps may have reached 138% of full load, indicating a canister expiration (replace the canister). DIP switch settings might have been changed with water in the canister (drain the canister and contact Liebert service). A stuck-open humidifier fill valve should be checked. High water conductivity could also be the cause (check water conductivity/quality and contact Liebert service). Incorrect DIP switch settings should be verified (refer to Circuit Board Adjustments on page 62). Mineral deposits obstructing the drain valve should be checked and cleaned if necessary. A faulty solenoid can be identified by checking for a ...
