3.8.3 Cabling the device
Procedure
1. Wire in the Ex-d or Ex-ia cable into the cable gland as per
instructions provided by the gland manufacturer. Allow 25 cm
of conductors exiting the gland for easy wiring into the device.
2. Feed the wires through the device housing. Tighten the
gland onto the housing until it is in full contact with the
device housing. Using a 24 mm spanner, ensure that the
gland is tightened fully in accordance with the manufacturer’s
instructions.
