Why does my EngA Accessories have high head pressure?
    • J
      Jaime JacobsJul 28, 2025
High head pressure in your EngA Accessories can be caused by several factors. A dirty condenser can restrict airflow, so cleaning or washing it is recommended. Flattened or hail-damaged fins can also impede airflow; comb the fins to straighten them. Other potential causes include condenser fan motors not running (check and correct the problem), a broken condenser fan blade (replace the blade), a defective or incorrectly set condenser fan cycling control (adjust or replace as needed), condenser air short-circuiting (check the temperature of inlet air and correct as required, ensuring proper airflow clearances), an overcharged system with refrigerant (reclaim excess refrigerant), or non-condensables in the system (reclaim refrigerant, evacuate the system, and recharge with new refrigerant).

What to do if control relays chatter or solenoid valves are not energized in EngA AF?
    • D
      Douglas LeeAug 12, 2025
If you're experiencing control relay chatter or solenoid valves not energizing in your EngA Accessories, it could be due to a voltage drop in the field wiring to the solenoids or thermostat (greater than 10%). Check the voltage at the solenoid or relay when it is energized; if it is less than 10% of the rated voltage, check the wire size or determine the cause and repair as required. Another possible cause is the primary voltage not being within 10% of the unit rating plate, in which case you should have an electrician check and repair as required.
