Toprovideamaintenancehistory,Itisrecommendedthattheownerhaveamaintenancefileforeach
unit.Thefollowingmaintenanceinstructionsaretobecarriedouteachspringandfallorasotherwise
indicatedbyqualifiedservicepersonnel.

Labelallwirespriortoremovalwhenservicingcontrolsorcriticalcomponents.Wiring
errorscancauseimproperanddangerousoperation.

isabakedonphenoliccoatingusedtoprotectmetalsfromsomeformsofchemicalcorrosion.
Atthetimeofpurchasenewcoilscan,asanoption,haveHeresite
®
appliedatthefactory.
IfyouhaveaHeresite
®
coatedcoil:
Inspectonceperyearormoreoftenasrequired.
Cleanwithlowpressureairandvacuumwithasoftbrush.
Lowpressure,chemicalfreewatermaybeused.
RepairInstructions(usingair‐driedHeresite
®
touch‐upspray):
1) Ensuresurfacesarecompletelydry.
2) Useanylonbrushtoremoveanyloosescale.
3) Roughenupareastoberepairedwithawirebrush.
4) Vacuumfinsortheaffectedareatoensureanylooseresidueisgone.
5) SprayorbrushS‐440solvent*(oranyequivalentcleaner)todissolveanyoilsorgrease.
6) Again,vacuumtheaffectedarea.
7) Allowonehourforthesolventtodissolvecompletely.
8) Coverareasnotrequiringrepairwithplastic(orequivalent)andmaskingtape.
9) UsingHeresite
®
VR‐554‐T*coatingsprayallaffectedareasfromdifferentanglestoensure
completecoverage.Apply2‐3fullcoats.Letdry3to4hoursbetweencoats.
10) AllowHeresite
®
tocure24hoursbeforeputtingequipmentbackintoservice.
