6.2 Troubleshooting
Charging LED indicator off during daytime when sunshine falls on solar
modules properly.
Probable CauseSolar modules disconnected.
SolutionConfirm that PV and battery wire connections are correct and tight.
Battery LED indicator red flashing, LCD displaying OVD.
Probable CauseBattery voltage is larger than over voltage disconnect voltage (OVD).
SolutionCheck if battery voltage too high, and disconnect solar modules.
Fault LED indicator flashing, LCD displaying Current Err.
Probable CauseCharging current in three phases is unbalanced.
SolutionDisconnect solar modules and restart the eTracer; if the fault still exists,
please contact the supplier to make maintenance.
Fault LED indicator flashing, LCD displaying Over Current.
Probable CauseCharging current is much more than the rating.
SolutionPlease check whether solar modules match with nominal parameter of the
controller. When charging current reaches 1.05~1.2 times of the rating, eTracer will
automatically adjust charging current to the rating or below but not stop; when
charging current reaches 1.2 times much more than nominal value, eTracer will
automatically stop charging in 5 seconds and automatically circularly activated so as
to reconnect charging. There is 5 times limit for reconnecting. The delay for each
reconnecting is 1min, 2 mins, 3mins, 4mins, 5mins corresponding.
Fault LED indicator flashing, LCD displaying Over Temp.
Probable CauseHeat sinks operational temperature is quite high to 85 or above.
SolutionThe controller will automatically stop working. When the temperature is
below 75, the controller will resume to work.
