Cannot Scan Multiple Photos at the Same Time
When placing multiple originals on the scanner glass, make sure there is a gap of at least 20 mm (0.79 in.)
between the originals. Also, place the original approximately 6 mm (0.24 in.) vertically and horizontally away
from the edges of the scanner glass.
Check that the original is placed straight.
Depending on the originals, you may not be able to scan multiple photos at the same time. Scan such originals
one by one by.
Images are Not Rotated Correctly
Small photos are not rotated automatically.
Photos for which the top and bottom cannot be detected are not rotated automatically. Rotate manually using
the Rotate Right button in Epson ScanSmart.
A Line or Line of Dots Always Appears in Your Scanned Images
Clean the scanner glass and document mat. If the problem continues, the scanner glass may be scratched.
Contact your dealer for assistance.
Remove any dust from the original.
Straight Lines in Your Image Come Out Crooked
Make sure the original is placed perfectly straight on the scanner glass.
Colors Are Patchy or Distorted at the Edges of Your Image
If your document is very thick or curled at the edges, cover the edges with paper to block external light as you scan.
