Scanner Problems
The Status Light Is Flashing
Check the following if the status light is
ashing
rapidly.
❏ Make sure the USB cable is securely connected to the scanner and the computer.
❏ Make sure that Epson ScanSmart and scanner driver (Epson Scan 2) are installed correctly.
If the light continues to ash rapidly, a fatal error may have occurred. Contact your dealer for assistance.

The Scanner Does Not Turn On
❏ Make sure that Epson ScanSmart and scanner driver (Epson Scan 2) are installed correctly.
❏ Make sure the USB cable is securely connected to the scanner and the computer.
❏ Connect the scanner directly to the computer's USB port. e scanner may not work properly when connected
to the computer through one or more USB hubs.
❏ Use the USB cable that came with the scanner.
❏ Wait a second aer connecting the USB cable. It may take a few seconds until the scanner turns on.
❏ If the scanner does not turn on

trying all of the solutions, uninstall and then re-install scanner driver
(Epson Scan 2).
