3.2.4.6 Removing the ASF Assembly
1. Remove the housing. (See Section 3.2.1.)
2. Release the attached hook from inside the printer mechanism, and remove the gear (34 mm) from the
ASF assembly roller shaft.
3. Take the cables out of the cable hook on the printer mechanism and the hook on the ASF assembly.
4. After removing 2 screws — 1 (No.7) and 1 CR shaft installation screw — remove the ASF assembly,
separating the protrusions on the left side of the ASF assembly from the frame holes.

When installing the ASF assembly, make sure the frame and ASF assembly are attached each other
with no space between them.
; Use screws for the ASF assembly in the following positions (looking from the back of the printer):
Right CR shaft installation screw
Left Screw (No.7) (+ Bind, S- tight, Sems R2, with plain washer)
Screw (No. 7) with Washer
Gear (34 mm)
CR Shaft Installation Screw
During installation,
make sure the protrusions
from the ASF assembly are
in these holes in the frame.
