INSTRUCTIONS ON SETTING UP YOUR UNIT
To begin setting up your compressor
• Begin setting up the air compressor in clean, dry, and well-ventilated area.
• Keep the compressor at least 1 foot away from the wall or other objects that may interfere
with the flow of air.
• Keep the air filter clear of obstructions, as this will reduce the airflow into the
compressor.
• Do not allow the compressor to get wet, as this will cause electrical shock. The air
compressor requires a fresh airflow for proper air-cooling.
GROUNDING INSTRUCTIONS
WARNING
Grounding provides an escape wire for the electric current resulting from a short circuit. In order
to ensure your safety, this air compressor must be properly grounded. The air compressor comes
equipped with a cord having a grounding wire and a grounding plug.
• The cord and plug should be plugged into a grounded outlet.
CAUTION: The outlet begin used must be installed and grounded in accordance with all local
codes and ordinances.
• Verify that the outlet being used has the same configuration as the grounded plug. DO
NOT USE AN ADAPTER. See illustration.
• Always inspect the cord for damage before using the compressor.
• If these grounding instructions are not fully understood, or doubts are present, please
contact your local qualified technician for assistance.
WARNING
IMPROPER GROUNDING CAN RESULT IN ELECTRICAL SHOCK.
Do not modify the plug provided. If the plug does not fit the outlet, a qualified electrician should
install a correct outlet. A qualified electrician must make repairs to the cord set or plug.
