Safety Valve: If the pressure switch is malfunctioning and does not turn the compressor off
after the pressure in the tank is too high, there is a safety valve that will protect against high
pressure by “popping out” at its factory set pressure (slightly higher than the pressure switch
“cut-out setting”).

Outlet Pressure Gauge: The outlet pressure gauge indicates the air pressure available at the
outlet side of the regulator. This pressure is controlled by the regulator and is always less than or
equal to the tank pressure.
Tank Pressure Gauge: The tank pressure gauge indicates the pressure inside the tank.
Regulator: The pressure regulator controls the air pressure shown on the outlet pressure gauge.
To increase the pressure pull the knob out and turn clockwise. To decrease the pressure, pull the
knob out and turn counterclockwise. When the desired pressure is established, push the knob
back into place.
Universal Quick-Connect Body (Not shown): The universal quick-connect body accepts the
three most popular styles of quick-connect plugs- Industrial, automotive, and ARO. One hand
push-to-connect operation makes these connections possible.
Drain Valve: The drain valve is located at the bottom of the tank and is used to drain the
condensation in the tank at the end of each use.

Cooling System: The compressor is equipped with an air-cooled cooling system. It is normal
for air to be blowing over the pump head, cylinder sleeve, and crankcase. You know the cooling
system is working when air is being expelled.
Air Compressor Pump: Compresses air into the air tank. Working air is not available until the
compressor has raised the pressure in the air tank above that required at the air outlet.
Oil viewing glass: The oil-viewing glass indicates the oil level in the air compressor pump.
