Evenflo Discovery 5 - Releasing the Carrier from the Base

Rotate the handle to the down position by pressing on
the red handle triggers G located on each side of the
child restraint. Move the handle back until it locks into
place behind the child restraint. Place the child in the
restraint and secure.

behind the restraint for
more room in small
vehicles.

If level line D is not level to vehicle floor, use a tightly
rolled towel, or small blanket E, beneath the front
edge of the base A, in order to provide enough recline
for an infant’s head to lie back comfortably.
IMPORTANT: Infants may have difficulty breathing when
in a sitting position. Make sure they recline enough for
their head to lie back comfortably and safely. Failure to
properly recline the child restraint could increase the child’s
risk of serious injury or death.

Move the handle A to the “carry” position by
squeezing in on both handle releases B and rotating
the handle until it locks into place above the carrier.
