Fire (Start a Firing)
Cone Fire
Programming for these type of firings consists of choosing a cone number, an optional preheat
time, firing speed, and an optional hold time. The firing speed is chosen by the type of firing
and thickness of the clay used. All 4 speeds below will calculate the firing rate at the end of a
firing and adjust the final temperature for correct heat-work.!
Cone Options: 022 - 12!
Speed Options: Fast, Medium, Medium Slow, Slow!
Glass
Programming consists of choosing the type of firing, firing speed, and COE (Coefficient of
Expansion) and an optional hold time. The firing speed is chosen by the size of the glass being
fired.!
PMC
The included PMC programs are listed in Appendix B: Firing Programs.% !
Important: Pressing the Fire button does not immediately start a firing.
This button takes you to the type of firing programs you can start. Each of these types are described
below. To configure this menu, go to Menu > Data Menu > Configuration.
