• Setthethrottlelevertomaximum.(Fig.7)
Note: The throttle can normally be left in this position
at all times.
• SteadytheHulkbyholdingtheoperatinghandleat
a convenient point.
• Useyourotherhandtogriptherecoilstartercord
handle. (Fig. 8)
• Pulltherecoilstartercordslowlyuntilresistanceis
felt indicating that the starter is engaged.
• Whenresistanceisfeltpullthecordsharply.
• Continuethisprocedureuntiltheenginestarts.
• Allowtheenginetoachieveoperatingtemperature.
• Usuallythechokecanbereturnedtothe‘off’
(run) position almost immediately when the
engine fires up, but this will depend upon ambient
temperatures, operating conditions etc. and
operator discretion will be required.
• Undersomecircumstanceschokemaybeneeded
even when the engine is warm from a previous
operating cycle. If you experience difficulty in
starting a warm engine:
• Setthechoketothe‘on’position.
• Pulltherecoilstarteronce.
• Returnthechoketothe‘off’(run)position.
• Pulltherecoilstarteruntiltheengineres.
• Note:The Hulk will begin to vibrate and travel as
soon as the engine is started. The operator should
ensure due diligence when starting this machine.
Stopping your Hulk Petrol Engine
• Presstheengineignitionrockerswitchtothe‘OFF’
(0) position.
• Closethefueltap.
