• Moenie die omhulsels om die kragaftakkeras of appe wat saam met die implement verskaf
is, verwyder nie.
• Moenie die topmaskettings aan oormatige spanning onderwerp deur die implement
teen hoë snelhede oor ruwe terrein te vervoer nie. Inspekteer die kettings en koppelings
gereeld en vervang hulle as hulle geslyt is. Gebruik slegs kettings en koppelings met die
korrekte spesikasie.
Roetine Instandhouding
DAAGLIKSE KONTROLES
• Verseker dat alle boute, moere en skroewe vas is. Nagaan van boute en moere aan die
snymeganisme is veral belangrik.
• Kontroleer die ratkas-olievlak en vul aan tot by die korrekte vlak. Kontroleer vir ratkas-
olielekke. Let asseblief daarop dat geen waarborg-eis ingedien kan word vir ‘n ratkas wat
sonder olie geloop het, of nie met die gespesiseerde graad van smeermiddel gevul was
nie. Dit is dus noodsaaklik om die ratkas korrek gevul te hou.
• Ghries die kragaftakkeras.
• Verseker dat die twee boute wat die glykoppelaar vashou, vas is, omdat ‘n los glykoppelaar
uiteindelik sal veroorsaak dat die inset-as afbreek.
• Let op na die slytasie op die lemme. Maak hulle gereeld met ’n hoekslyper skerp of vervang
hulle as hulle te ver afgeslyt het. Ons beveel aan dat u minstens twee stelle lemme, boute,
moere en busse as onderdele vir u Falcon-wentelsnyer byderhand hou. Verseker dat die
snymeganisme gebalanseer is, dws dat lemme en lembalke soortgelyke slytpatrone het
en dieselfde weeg. Om veiligheid te verseker word aanbeveel dat nuwe boute en moere
gebruik word elke keer wanneer lemme vervang word.
LET WEL: Vibrasie is die hoofoorsaak van strukturele onklaarraking en oormatige
koeëllaerslytasie by wentelsnyers.
GEREELDE KONTROLES
• Kontroleer dat die glykoppelaar op die korrekte spanning gestel is en verstel indien nodig.
• Kontroleer slytasie op die veerstaalglystukke en vervang indien nodig.
• Enige roesmerkies wat dalk verskyn het, moet skoongemaak en opgeknap word.
Onthou, u het die beste implement op die mark gekoop. Met korrekte gebruik en
behoorlike instandhouding sal dit u jare se uitstekende diens gee.
• Do not subject the topmast chains to excessive strain by transporting the implement at high
speeds over rough ground. Inspect the chains and shackles regularly and replace if worn.
Use only chains and shackles of the correct specication.
Routine Maintenance
DAILY CHECKS
• Check that all bolts, nuts and screws are tight. Checking the bolts and nuts on the cutting
gear is particularly important.
• Check the level of the gearbox oil and top up to the correct level. Check for gearbox oil
leaks. It should be noted that no guarantee claim can be submitted on a gearbox that has
run dry or has not been lled with the specied grade of lubricant. It is thus essential that
the gearbox is kept correctly lled with oil.
• Grease the PTO shaft.
• Check that the two bolts holding the slip-clutch are tight, as a loose slip clutch will eventually
cause the input shaft to break off.
• Check the wear on the blades. Sharpen them routinely with an angle grinder or replace
when they are worn down too far. We recommend that you keep at least two sets of blades,
bolts, nuts and bushes as spares for your Falcon Slasher. Make sure that the cutting gear is
balanced, ie that blades and blade beams have similar wear patterns and weigh the same.
When changing the blades, in order to ensure safety, it is recommended that new bolts and
nuts are tted each time.
NOTE: Vibration is the main cause of structural failure and excessive bearing wear on
slashers.
REGULAR CHECKS
• Check that the slip-clutch is set to the correct tension and adjust if not.
• Check the wear and tear on the spring steel skid runners, and replace if necessary.
• Clean down and touch up any rust spots that may have appeared.
Remember, you have purchased the best implement on the market. With the correct
operation and proper maintenance, it will give you years of excellent service.
