Why is the LED blinking on my FCI Switch?
    • R
      Randall HeathAug 8, 2025
If the LED on your FCI Switch is blinking in liquid flow applications, ensure that the pipe is full. For gas flow or liquid level applications where the LED is blinking, the heater power may be set too high. Try setting it to a lower value by moving the heater jumper. In some cases, you may need to set the heater power to the maximum value to achieve the maximum signal difference between the two liquids.

How to fix an FCI Switch when the LED is always ON?
    • K
      Kevin SmithAug 14, 2025
If the LED is ON, it might be because the instrument is being supplied with 115 Vac, but the Input Power Jumper Configuration is set to 220 Vac. Remove the control circuit, set the jumpers correctly, reinstall the control circuit, and then restart the system.

    • M
      Monica WalkerAug 27, 2025
If the serial numbers on the control board and the sensing element do not match, this can cause the voltage to be out of tolerance. If the serial numbers are correct, contact FCI Field Service.
