STANDARDS & REGULATIONS
PRE- INSTALLATION CHECKS
The installer should also be aware of his/her
responsibilities under The Health and Safety at Work
Act. The interests of safety are best served if the boiler
is installed and commissioned by a competent
engineer, OFTEC trained and registered.
BOILER INSTALLA
TION:
Other than special considerations for condensate
removal and plume dispersal, the installation of Diesel
firing condensing boilers is the same as for
non-condensing boilers.
For condensing boilers, the same requirements apply
for installation with regard to cleaning and flushing
and providing inhibitors as are followed for any other
boiler. Manufacturers instructions must always be
followed.
STANDARDS & REGULATIONS
To ensure the highest standards of installation &
safety, it is important that the boiler be installed in
compliance with the following regulations where
applicable. It is the responsibility of the installer
and everyone concerned with any aspect of
installation to ensure that all applicable standards
and regulations are fully adhered to.
All CURRENT editions of the appropriate
Building regulations:
