  If your Firman Portable Generator won't start, there are several things you can check: * Ensure the engine switch is in the ON (l) position. * Make sure the fuel shutoff lever is in the ON (l) position. * Check the oil level and fill if necessary, or place the generator on a level surface. * Inspect and clean or replace the air cleaner if it's dirty. * Verify that there is enough fuel in the tank. * Drain the fuel tank and carburetor and fill with fresh fuel, if the fuel is stale. * Ensure the spark plug wire is connected to the spark plug. * Replace the spark plug if it is bad. * Drain the gas tank and carburetor and fill with fresh fuel, if there is water in the fuel. * Wait 5 minutes and re-crank the engine if it is flooded. * Clean or replace the fuel filter if i...

  Your Firman Portable Generator might not start due to several reasons: - The engine switch may be set to the OFF position; set it to the ON position. - The fuel shutoff lever may be in the OFF position; move it to the ON position. - The oil level might be low; fill the crankcase to the proper level or place the generator on a level surface. - The air cleaner could be dirty; clean or replace it. - The generator may be out of fuel; fill the fuel tank. - The fuel may be stale; drain the tank and carburetor and fill with fresh fuel. - The spark plug wire may not be connected; connect it to the spark plug. - The spark plug may be bad; replace it. - There might be water in the fuel; drain the tank and carburetor and fill with fresh fuel. - The engine may be flooded; wait 5 minutes and try re-c...
