  If your Fisher Metal Detector chatters, beeps erratically, or exhibits low sensitivity, here's what you can do: * If you are using the detector indoors, use it outdoors only. * If you are near power lines, move away from them. * If using two detectors, ensure they are at least 6 meters (20’) apart. * If there's environmental electromagnetic interference, reduce the sensitivity until the erratic signals cease.

  If the display of your Fisher Metal Detector does not lock onto one Target-ID or emits multiple tones, the issue might be due to: * Multiple targets being present: Sweep the coil at different angles. * Highly mineralized soil: Move to a different area. * Sensitivity set too high: Reduce the sensitivity.
