Why is my Fleck Control Unit softener delivering hard water?

Your Fleck Control Unit might be delivering hard water due to several reasons. It could be that the by-pass valve is open, in which case you should close it. Another reason could be that there is no salt in the brine tank, so you should add salt and maintain the salt level above the water level. The injector or screen might be blocked, so replace or clean the injector and screen. Also, check for insufficient water in the brine tank and clean the brine flow control if it’s blocked. Other possible causes include hardness from the hot water tank (repeated flushing of the hot water tank is required), a leak at the distributor tube (make sure the distributor tube is not cracked and check the O’ ring and tube pilot), an internal valve leak (replace seals and spacers and/or piston), a jammed flow...
