  If your Fleck Control Unit softener delivers hard water, you can try the following: close the by-pass valve; add salt to the brine tank, maintaining the salt level above the water level; replace or clean the injector and screen; check the brine tank fill time, cleaning the brine flow control if it’s blocked; ensure the distributor tube is not cracked and check the O’ ring and tube pilot; remove the obstruction from meter; check the meter connection to the timer and the meter cap; check the programming and reset as needed; repeated flushing of the hot water tank may be required; replace seals and spacers and/or piston.
