2. Introduction
Thank you for selecting the FLIR MR55 Moisture Meter with Bluetooth® connectivity.
This instrument detects moisture in wood and other building materials. The MR55 also
measures Relative Humidity (RH) and ambient Temperature. This device is shipped fully
tested and calibrated and, with proper use, will provide years of reliable service.
2.1 Key Features
 Resistance-based pin moisture measurements for wood and other building materials
including plywood, drywall, oriented strand board (OSB), brick, cement screed,
concrete, cement mortar, anhydrite screed, lime mortar, and plaster
 Ambient Temperature and Relative Humidity measurements
 Test material group selectivity
 Bluetooth® data transmission
 Firmware upgrades via micro USB port located in battery compartment
 Work light
 Backlit LCD
 Self-test calibration verification (test points in protective cap)
