6.3.3. Consistence of Refraction index
The focus adjustment is the same for all the filter slots of the wheel.
For achieving a good focus in all filter positions, the refraction index of each
filter combination must be the same or very similar.

That means that all material belonging to the same group (A only or B only)
can be used together on the same wheel with the same thickness (standard
thickness=1mm).
Using a mix of material belonging to group A together with a material
belonging to group B (Germanium) on the same wheel is prohibited, except if
the thickness has been compensated accordingly in order to keep the same
optical path.
NB: If possible, don’t use Germanium with the 1.5 5.1 µm ORION SC7000,
since this material does not offer the best performances in this configuration.
