5.1.1 Configuration vibration velocity
Measurement of the vibration velocity (RMS) enables the condition of the pump to be
determined. This gives an indication of the Mechanical wear within the pump unit.
Examples for causes of high vibration velocity:
Mechanical wear
Imbalance
Misalignment
Excessive force from the pipe-work
Vibration Velocity Settings:
