7 Maintenance and repair
7.1 Cleaning
Please note that any cleaning agents must be compatible with the materials of
construction. The user is advised to pay particular attention to the surface and gasket of
the sensor.
Caution! Explosion hazardous area
Regular cleaning of the sensor is necessary in order to avoid excessive dirt
and debris on the surface.
7.2 Repair
The sensor IPS Detect has not been designed for repair. It is consistently not possible to
replace the electrical/electronic parts. Importantly, it is forbidden to modify any part of the
housing or electronics.
7.3 Exchange
The sensor IPS Detect has not been designed for repair. Should any part of the senor
become defective, it should simply be exchanged. Please contact the manufacturer for
details. Should the unit still be within its warranty period, it can be returned to the
manufacturer for investigation.
Please note that all goods must be suitably decontaminated before return.
