4. Installation and operation
4.1 Unpacking the meter
Unpack the meter, and ensure that meter conguration and materials of
construction are correct for your application.
4.2 Installation
Flow can be metered in either direction through SEM-100 and SEM-100FT
ow meters.
SEM-100: Thread the meter inlet into the female discharge port of the
pump. Using an elbow or coupling, screw the discharge hose onto the
other port of the meter. Use thread sealant tape or pipe dope to seal thread
connections as necessary.
SEM-100FT: Thread the meter inlet (female threads) onto the end of the
hose. Install a 1-inch ball valve on the meter outlet (male threads). Use
sealant tape or pipe dope to seal the thread connections as necessary.
DO NOT over tighten threaded connections. Breakage can
occur resulting in uid exposure and leakage.
DO NOT mount meter in a load bearing manner. Excessive
loads can cause breakage, resulting in uid exposure and leakage.
