Table 22. External Connection Commands
Command Description
BOOST Activates or deactivates the 52120A auxiliary amplifier.
BOOST? Returns true if the 52120A auxiliary amplifier is activated.
CUR_POST? Returns the active binding posts for current output.
EXTGUARD Connects or disconnects the internal guard shield from the LO binding post.
EXTGUARD?
Returns whether the internal guard shields are connected or disconnected from
earth (chassis) ground.
EXTSENSE? Returns the status of the internal connection between SENSE and OUTPUT.
EXTSENSE Opens and closes an internal connection between SENSE and OUTPUT.
LOWS? Returns whether or not the low terminals are internally open or tied together.
LOWS
Selects whether or not the low terminals are internally open or tied together for dual
outputs.
POST_52120 Set the output terminals for attached 52120As.
POST_52120? Returns the setting of the output terminals for attached 52120As.
RTD_TYPE Set the Resistance Temperature Detector (RTD) type.
RTD_TYPE? Returns the Resistance Temperature Detector (RTD) type.
TC_REF
Set whether the internal temperature sensor or an external reference value is used
for Thermocouple (TC) outputs and measurements.
TC_REF?
Returns the source and value of the temperature in use as a reference for
thermocouple simulation and measurement.
TC_TYPE Set the thermocouple (TC) temperature type.
TC_TYPE? Returns the thermocouple (TC) type.
TSENS_TYPE
Set temperature sensor type when output is set to a temperature with OUT
command.
