If the transmission is in drive (D or any
other forward gear (for example, low (L,
sport (S, manual transmissions, the front
sensing system provides audio and visual
warnings when your vehicle is moving
below a speed of 8 km and obstacles are
detected inside the front sensing detection
area. Once your vehicle reaches a standstill
condition, the audio warning stops after
few seconds and the visual indication
stops after few seconds. If the obstacles
detected are within 30 cm, the visual
indication remains on.
For automatic transmissions; if the
transmission is in neutral (N, the front and
rear sensing systems provide visual
indication only (not audible when your
vehicle is moving below a speed of 8 km
and obstacles are detected inside the front
or rear sensing detection areas.
Once your vehicle reaches a standstill
condition, the visual indication stop after
few seconds. For specific information on
the reverse sensing portion of the system,
refer to that section.
REAR VIEW CAMERA (IF
EQUIPPED)
WARNINGS
The rear view camera system is a
reverse aid supplement device that
still requires the driver to use it in
conjunction with the interior and exterior
mirrors for maximum coverage.
WARNINGS
Objects that are close to either
corner of the bumper or under the
bumper, might not be seen on the
screen due to the limited coverage of
the camera system.
Note:
Reverse your vehicle as slow as
possible, higher speeds may limit your
reaction time to stop your vehicle.
WARNING
Use caution when turning camera
features on or off when the
transmission is not in park (P).
Make sure your vehicle is not moving.
The rear view camera system provides a
video image of the area behind your
vehicle.
During operation, lines appear in the
display which represent your vehicle’s path
and proximity to objects behind your
vehicle.
