Why is my Foster Controller temperature too cold?
    • V
      Victor CrossAug 23, 2025
If your Foster Controller's temperature is too cold, it could be due to these reasons: * The controller is set at a very cold position. Set it to a warmer position and check if the compressor stops according to the controller's operating range. * The controller does not disconnect the condensing unit. Check the insulation of the thermostat; if the problem persists, change the thermostat. * Control contacts are stuck closed. Change the control and check the amperage load. * The temperature control is defective or incorrect. Determine the correct control and replace it.

What causes noise in my Foster FD2-10 Controller?
    • S
      Stephanie SimmonsAug 26, 2025
Noise in your Foster Controller can be caused by several factors: * The refrigerator is not properly leveled. Check if the noise goes away after you level the refrigerator. * The condenser is not fastened correctly, or copper tubing is in contact with metal. While the compressor is working, check if metal parts are in contact and if the condenser screws are tightened. * The evaporator and/or condenser fans are loose. Check if the fans are securely fastened, and if the fan blades are loose, broken, or crooked. If so, change the faulty blade. * The compressor has an internal noise. If the noise persists after all other measures, it may be originating from the compressor. * Loose part(s). Locate and tighten loose part(s).

What causes extreme condensation inside my Foster Controller refrigerator?
    • M
      Mark MorganAug 28, 2025
Extreme condensation inside your Foster Controller refrigerator can be attributed to: * The controller being set at a very cold position. Set the controller to a warmer position and check to see if the compressor stops as it should. * High relative humidity (over 75%) in the outside environment. This is due to local climatic conditions and not the refrigeration unit itself. * The refrigerator door not shutting completely. Check the door and/or the magnetic gasket. Adjust the door hinges if needed; replace the gasket if broken. * The refrigerator being placed in an inadequate location. The unit must not be near sources that produce too much heat.

What to do if my Foster FD2-10 condensing unit runs for long periods of time?
    • D
      donald51Sep 2, 2025
If the condensing unit in your Foster Controller runs for extended periods, it may be due to: * An excessive amount of warm product placed in the cabinet. Allow adequate time for products to cool down. * Prolonged door opening or the door being ajar. Ensure doors are closed when not in use and avoid opening doors for long periods. * Door gaskets not sealing properly. Ensure gaskets are snapped in completely. Remove the gasket and wash with soap and water. Check the condition of the gasket and replace if necessary.
