1. Cleaning tissues must be prepared on site. You need to clean the optical connector before inserting it in the
receptacle. This protects the receptacle against contamination on the surface of the optical connector.

• Place at least three cleaning tissues on the work bench. As shown in Figure19, wipe the end of an
optical connector from left to right or from right to left on a cleaning tissue, and then move the
connector end to the unused part of the cleaning tissue to continue.
