INDOOR UNIT Error Method:
Water Drain Abnormal
Indicate or Display:
Indoor Unit : Operation LED 5 times Flash, Timer LED 3 Times Flash,
Filter LED Continuous Flash.
Outdoor Unit : E.5 U.1
Error Code : 5 3
Detective Actuators:
Indoor Unit Controller PCB Circuit
Float Switch
Detective details:
When Float switch is ON for more than 3 minutes.
Check Point 1 : Check Float Switch
Check operation of float switch. (any blocking by dust, etc.)
Remove Float switch and check ON/OFF switching operation
by using a meter.
>>If Float switch is defective, replace it.

Forecast of Cause : 1. Float switch defective 2. Shorted connector/wire 3. Controller PCB defective 4. Drain pump defective
Check Point 2 : Check Connector (CN 1) / Wire
Check loose contact of CN1 /shorted wire (pinched wire).
>>Replace Float switch if the wire is abnormal
Check Point 3 : Check Controller PCB
If Check Point 1 & 2 do not improve the symptom, change
Controller PCB and set up the original address.
(Refer to 06-03 page Main PCB removal.)
Attention!!
Small size wall mount type does not have a
float switch. In this case, replace Controller PCB
and set up the original address. Please refer to.
