Host Interfaces
A host interface (CA) is an adapter that has interface ports to connect a controller to a server.
Up to two host interfaces for the ETERNUS DX500 S3
and up to four host interfaces for the ETERNUS DX600 S3
can be installed for each controller.
Host interfaces can be added during system operation. When an error occurs, a replacement can be made while
the system is running.
FC, iSCSI, and FCoE are available as the SAN host interface. Ethernet is available as the NAS host interface. Differ-
ent types of interfaces can exist together in the same controller.
The host interface specifications are shown below.
