Adjusting the Starting Position for Scanning
[Offset/Vertical Magnification Adjustment]
When the position of the scanned image is not correct or the
image looks elongated in a vertical direction, use the following
procedure to adjust the offset and the scan scale for correc-
tion.
1 Start up the Software Operation Panel.
Refer to "9.1 Starting Up the Software Operation Panel" (on page
156).
2 From the tree listing on the left, select [Device Setting]
and then click the [Offset] button.
3 Adjust the offset/scan scale as necessary.
9.4 Settings Related to Scanning
The factory default settings are appropriate, so normally there
is no need to make any adjustment.

Description
Unit Select [ADF (front)] or [ADF (back)] (fi-6670/fi-
6670A/fi-6770/fi-6770A only), or [Flat Bed] (flatbed
type only) as the target of offset adjustment.
When the connection is via SCSI/USB Connector
2, the offset for scanning with the ADF is adjustable
for the back-side pages only.
Main Adjusts the horizontal (widthwise) offset.
The setting range is from -2 mm to +3 mm in steps
of 0.5 mm.
Sub Adjusts the vertical (lengthwise) offset.
The setting range is from -2 mm to +3 mm in steps
of 0.5 mm.
