ExpressCards
Your LIFEBOOK notebook supports ExpressCards which can perform a variety of functions depending on which type of
card you install. There are two different width ExpressCards: 34 mm wide and 54 mm wide. Note that this system
supports 34 mm designs only.
For further information, refer to the instructions supplied with your card(s).
Installing ExpressCards
To install a 34 mm ExpressCard in the ExpressCard slot, follow these steps:
• INSTALLING OR REMOVING A EXPRESSCARD DURING YOUR LIFEBOOK’S SHUTDOWN OR BOOTUP PROCESS MAY DAMAGE THE CARD AND/OR YOUR
LIFEBOOK.
• DO NOT INSERT AN EXPRESSCARD INTO A SLOT IF THERE IS WATER OR ANY OTHER SUBSTANCE ON THE CARD AS YOU MAY PERMANENTLY DAMAGE
THE CARD, YOUR LIFEBOOK, OR BOTH.
