This USB port allows you to operate and charge the notebook using the optional
dock (see "
Connect the notebook to the dock", Page 41).
You can also charge a connected USB device or operate devices without an additional power supply.
This is also possible with the noteb ook switched off, if the USB Type-C Power Delivery
on System-Off function is activated in the A dvanced - Miscellaneous Configurations menu
of the BIOS Setup Utility. Calling up and using the BI OS Setup Utility is described
in section "
Settings in BIOS Setup Utility", P age 5 6.
USB devices are hot-pluggable. This means you can connect and disconnect the
cables of U SB devices while the operating system is running.
