CAUTION
Whenconnectingaremotecontrollercabletotheremotecontroller
terminalblock,pleaseusethespeciedtorquetotightenscrews.Ifyou
over-tightenscrews,theywillbreaktheterminalunit.
Becarefultoavoidbreakingthecablebyover-tighteningthecabletie.
Tighteningtorque 7.1to10.6lbf•in(0.8to1.2N•m)
Fastentheoutsidecoveringoftheconnectioncablewiththecabletie.
Tightenthecabletiermlysothatpullingforcedoesnotpropagatetothe
terminalconnectionevenifforceof30Nisappliedtothecable.
Selectaexiblecablethatcanbeboundusingcabletiesfromoverthe
cablesheathinsidethisunit.

5.3.3. Attachthefrontcase
Connecttheremotecontrollercableconnectorto
theconnectorofthefrontcasePCboard.Insert
afteradjustingupperpartoffrontcase.Otherwise,
thereisariskofdamagetotheinternalpartsofthis
unit.Whenyouattachthefrontcase,makesurethat
thecablesarenotbeingpinchedbyfrontcase.
5.4. Connectingtotheindoorunit
CAUTION
Whenconnectingtheremotecontrollercabletotheindoorunit,donot
connectittotheoutdoorunitorthepowerterminalblock.Itmaycausea
failure.
WhenswitchingtheDIPswitch(SW1)ontheindoorunitPCboard,be
suretoturnoffthepowersupplytotheindoorunit.Otherwise,thePC
boardoftheindoorunitmaybedamaged.
Thereare2methodstoconnecttheremotecontrollercabletotheindoor
unit.Oneistheconnectionusingconnectingcable(Includedintheindoor
unit),andtheotheristheconnectiontheremotecontrollercableiscon-
nectedtotheexclusiveterminalblockoftheindoorunit.

(1) Useatooltocutofftheterminalontheendoftheremotecontroller
cable,andthenremovetheinsulationfromthecutendofthecableas
showninFig.1.Connecttheremotecontrollercableandconnecting
cableasshowninFig.2.Besuretoinsulatetheconnectionbetween
thecables.
