Is the burner wet? Let it dry.
Is the cap and gas spreader
positioned correctly?
Make sure the alignment pins are properly aligned see “Super Sealed Surface Burners”
section.
Remove vessel temporarily, if clicking ceases and
then returns when putting the vessel back,
it is due to the oversized vessel. You can still continue to cook with the vessel but the
will continue until cooking is complete.
Is the cooking vessel much larger
than the allocated grate space?

Is the cookware the proper size?
Use cookware about the same size as the surface cooking area, element or surface burner.
Cookware should not extend more than 1 in (2.5 cm) outside the cooking area.
