FT-C Vertical Electric Thermal Fluid Heater Manual 12 2013 ISSUE 1

1. Replace the ignition electrode(s).
2. If the unit utilizes a ame rod, replace.
3. Clean all strainers in the thermal uid system.

4. Take a half litre sample of thermal uid and return to the thermal uid manufacturer for analysis.
5. Schedule your local Fulton representative or factory service technician to perform annual
preventative maintenance.


Adjust the set point(s) of the temperature limit(s) down to a point lower than the PV (process
variable is typically the current uid temperature at the heater outlet). Solid-state controls will
deactivate a control relay powering a set of n.c. contacts in the interlock circuit. Analogue controls
will open their contacts in the interlock circuit. The trip temperature should be within 5 degrees of
the PV temperature. Reset temperature limit if reset exists.



