Why is the sensitivity poor on my Furuno Marine Radar?
    • D
      Dr. Tiffany CohenAug 26, 2025
Poor sensitivity on your Furuno Marine Radar may be caused by a 2nd trace echo or a soiled radiator. Remove the 2nd trace echo and clean the radiator.

What to do if Furuno Marine Radar range changed but radar picture not changing?
    • A
      Anna DickersonAug 28, 2025
If the range is changed on your Furuno Marine Radar but the radar picture is not changing, try hitting the RANGE key several times. If unsuccessful, replacement of keypad may be required. The SPU board may also be defective, requiring replacement. Another possibility is a video freeze-up, in this case turn off and on radar.

What to do if Furuno FCR-2107 is properly tuned but poor sensitivity?
    • M
      Mark LewisAug 30, 2025
If the Furuno Marine Radar is properly tuned but there is poor sensitivity, check the magnetron current with the radar transmitting on 48 nm range. If the current is below normal, the magnetron may be defective and require replacement. Also, check the MIC detecting current. If it is below normal value, the MIC may have become detuned and require tuning. Clean the radiator surface, remove water from the feeder line, and disable the second-trace echo rejector.

Why does the Furuno FCR-2107 Marine Radar power turn on but nothing appears on the display?
    • M
      matthewoconnorSep 5, 2025
If the Furuno Marine Radar powers on but nothing appears on the display, the brilliance may be set too low. Adjust the brilliance. Alternatively, if the ambient temperature is less than 0°C (32°F), the display will appear in approximately 10 minutes as the heater warms the chart processor unit.
  • H

What to do if Furuno FCR-2107 picture does not change even though range is changed?
    • C
      colenancySep 7, 2025
If the picture on your Furuno Marine Radar does not change even though the range is changed, hit the RANGE key several times. If nothing happens, turn the power on and off again. This may be due to a faulty range key or video freeze.
